Bowl for kids sake

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana’s  Bowl for Kids’ Sake  has been the agency’s largest annual fundraiser for almost 40 years. Say "Aloha!" to 2023's theme - 'Luau on the Lanes!'

Participants form teams of up to six bowlers who fund-raise on behalf of BBBS-SWLA in the weeks leading up to the event. $360 secures a lane for the up-to-six-bowler team with two beer tickets and a snack for each bowler. The organizer of the team will be the team captain, making the initial $360 payment. Individual payments to the team captain by bowlers can be made on a personal basis. The team captain will name the team, create the team fundraiser page, and be the head cheerleader for their bowlers’ fundraising. After the lane is secured, and the bowling team assembled by the team captain, the bowlers begin their fundraising journey. Peer-to-peer fundraising takes place in the weeks leading up to the day of the fundraiser celebration taking place on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at Petro Bowl in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

There are four 1.5-hour time slots to choose from for your team's bowling session:

· 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

· 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

· 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

· 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Bowlers will be provided with a fundraising toolkit that contains all information and directions they need on how to sign up, secure their bowling lane, and how to begin peer-to-peer fundraising! It will be a day full of fun, music, and games, with local celebrity appearances. Come dressed in your best island gear - this luau will be one you don't want to miss!

Fantastic prize packages donated by area restaurants and businesses are awarded to the top 8 fundraisers, announced after Bowl for Kids' Sake. There will also be prizes announced each Friday in the weeks leading up to Bowl for Kids' Sake as we keep a running leaderboard of fundraisers contributing to our Bowl for Kid's Sake 2023 goal of $120,000!

All funds go towards the over 250 youth we mentor annually Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jeff Davis, Vernon, and Rapides Parishes, continuing the work of our mission: to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Our vision is that all youth achieve their full potential, and with your help, we can work towards seeing that come true.
